Art Requirements
Art Services are billed at $75 per hour to create art work for orders without acceptable art. Re-sizing existing artwork or minor copy changes do not require art charges. MINIMUM art setup charge is $45, if an art file requires any time beyond re-positioning art and creating a new proof, this charge will be applied. If any file needs to be recreated or re-drawn or on the third layout proof this charge will be applied to the order.
IN ORDER FOR CURBSIDE DISPLAYS TO MEET YOUR DEADLINE, PRICE, AND QUALITY REQUIREMENTS, ACCEPTABLE ART IS DESCRIBED BELOW.
SENDING FILES: CD, DVD, FTP and e-mail are acceptable ways of sending art files. You may choose to ZIP files together before sending to reduce size and combine files. Please e-mail files under 10 MB to
art@curbsidedisplays.com. For files over 10 MB but under 100 MB, please upload to the FTP (Open a Windows Explorer window - NOT Internet Explorer), type ftp://ftp.curbsidedisplays.com into the address bar. Username is totalart - Password is Art4Total (password is case sensitive). Use a DVD or USB for files over 100 MB.
FILE FORMATS: We use are Adobe CS4 Products, so Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign Files are all acceptable. For Quark, Freehand, or Corel Draw, please convert files to EPS or PDF.
LAYOUT: Please fax a hardcopy of artwork to Curbside Displays at 816-228-3011, so that missing fonts or images can be identified and problems cannot be overlooked.
ARTWORK: A vector logo is needed for all art services projects. Save as EPS or AI file. Please use 1200 DPI and scale your layout 1 inch = 1 foot for all large-format printing greater than 2 feet wide or high. Vector art is preferred above all else. No resolution is necessary and fonts should be converted to curves. Use “Create Outlines” function. For any flattened or rasterized artwork, the file needs to be at 100 DPI. 300 DPI is acceptable for all JPG, GIF, TIF, or PNG files at 1/3 of the finished size. Fonts should be included with your artwork if you do not create outlines. Stock images and vector art are available through Curbside Displays for $20.00 each.
COLORS: Specify all Pantone Matching System (PMS) color numbers required for artwork. Standard colors may vary for each product, so please define every color with a PMS number. Convert all full-color images to CMYK. PLEASE OPEN THE FINAL FILE BEFORE SENDING TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING OPENS THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO PRINT. CHECK SPELLING, IMPRINT AREAS, COLORS, AND FONTS. IF ALL OF THE FILES ARE READY, WE WILL BE ABLE TO PRINT YOUR JOB! If you have any questions regarding artwork, please e-mail art@curbsidedisplays.com before sending the file.
